Today we are at the Lighthouse Diner on Sunrise Highway in Wantagh, a food establishment that’s been around since 1956. You know, we’ve been thinking about the New York diners. It’s a truly unique American culinary experience. You can get everything on that seven page menu, from a fish dinner to a steak dinner to a salad, to breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and every meal in between. The desserts are amazing. The variety of food is also amazing. And the quality of which is done is, again, the trifecta of food establishment. We often say about the diners, they were the family friendly restaurant long before that term had even been coined. The meals are reasonable, the food is excellent, and the staff loves what they do. So we’re going to meet Pete Theodocion of the Theodocion family, which has had this place since 1980, and let’s see how it’s all done.
